Google macht Ernst mit seinen Partnern und bringt YouTube als App ins Auto. Der Polestar 2 erhält ein umfangreiches OTA-Update. Schon vor einiger Zeit hatte Google angekündigt, dass mehr Apps, darunter auch Videodienste, den Weg in Fahrzeuge mit „Google built-in“ bzw. Android Automotive finden sollen.
Diese Ankündigungen werden nun umgesetzt. Polestar hat für sein aktuelles Flaggschiff-Modell ein neues OTA-Update (P2.9) angekündigt, das neben anderen Verbesserungen auch die offizielle YouTube-App integriert. YouTube wird in vollem Umfang nutzbar sein, aber wahrscheinlich nur im Stand und nicht während der Fahrt.

- “Now Playing” information now shown on home screen tile.
- Phone call information now shown on home screen tile and driver display during calls. Now possible to handle phone calls using steering wheel buttons.
- Improvements to FM radio connections.
