Schon seit einer Weile bietet Google auch in Deutschland den sogenannten Play Pass an, der für einen Festpreis von 4,99 Euro unbegrenzten Zugriff auf Apps bietet. Allerdings nicht auf alle Apps, sondern nur auf ausgewählte und teilnehmende Angebote. Allerdings wachsen die verfügbaren Angebote mit aller Regelmäßigkeit, seit dem vergangenen April sind mehr als 40 Apps hinzugekommen. Wobei sich Google ganz klar auf Spiele konzentriert, womit sich der Google Play Pass vorrangig für Gamer eignet.
