Bei den Jungs von der CyanogenMod gibt es seit gestern Abend wieder was zu feiern, denn für diverse Geräte gibt es jetzt Version 10.2 als ersten Release Candidate. Diesmal allerdings nicht für ganz so viele Geräte.
Seit gestern Abend gibt es auf den Cyanogen-Servern mal wieder einen neue Release Candidate, diesmal von CM 10.2, basierend auf Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Diesmal allerdings beschränkt man sich auf ein paar wenige Geräte, wie etwa die Nexus-Smartphones und Tablets, doch auch ein paar Geräte von HTC und Samsung sind mit dabei.
Auch verfügbar ist die neuste Version selbstverständlich über den CyanogenMod Installer, insofern euer Gerät von diesem Tool bereits unterstützt wird.
Nach wie vor ist natürlich die manuelle Installation möglich (hier die Downloads), doch empfohlen wir der CyanogenMod Installer.
Ein paar grundlegende Tipps zur Installation gibt es diesmal auch:
- You can safely flash this on top of CM 10.2 M1 (or earlier 10.2 nightly) without wiping data
- You can safely flash this on top of CM 10.1 (any version) without wiping data IF you also manually update your third party add-on zips (kernels, mods, packs, etc). If you skip this, don’t be surprised by ‘missing’ applications. Also, the phone app changed names, don’t forget to replace your shortcut for it!
- For all other previous releases, you should be able to update without losing your data provided you follow the third party item from #2.
- Always make a backup, regardless of 1, 2 or 3
